Mini Cedar Topiaries

Mini Topiary Pot Fun

It's no secret that I love mini's !  Mini quilts.... my free " Mini Keeper" sewing machine pouch... mug rugs.... mini charms fabric packs ... more mini quilts....  Just scroll back through my blog posts through the years!  ( type in " mini"  in the search for spot on the top left of my home page,  and you can review a bunch of them! )

A few of the Mini items I have made.....

So,  when I was asked if I'd like to review a  silk plant product from the website Silk Plants Direct.com , I jumped at the opportunity and said yes!!

If you go over to CommercialSilk.com to see what they offer for sale,  grab a cup of tea or coffee and relax... because there is a lot to look at !   There are oodles and oodles  of  silk trees,  flowers, topiaries, ivys, greens....    ( indoor and outdoor, too)

But, these cut little mini's caught my eye!!

I ordered this set of  three cedar topiaries :

Silk Plants Direct Assorted Cedar Topiary - Green - Pack of 3

Oh my goodness, when I opened up the box, I fell in love with them!!I
(I even squeeled a little  a lot !)

Their sizes:      5.5 - 6.5" x 4.5 - 5.5" x 4.5 - 5.5"

I had so much fun posing them in different places around my house....

These little topiaries are "weigh" too much fun!!

They are a perfect size to put on table tops.... in the group or all alone !

They are very life-like.... look how they blend in with real trees

My honest review of these 3 mini Cedar Topiaries:

Quality-  Excellent:  10/10
They are so look like they are real!  Such a beautiful shade of                                             green!
The pots are cute in  their shapes,  and well made.
There are no funny odors. (I pay attention to that, as I have                                                 allergies)
                                    They are made with quality.

I would definitely buy these!!
Oh, and the dh gave his seal of approval, as well.  ( And, He's picky!! )

And you don't have just one person's experience of products with Silk Plants Direct.com products ...
you can hop on over to Amy at Amy Made That! blog, and see what she reviewed!  The most adorable  set of boxwood topiary balls!  I saw them in person, and they are beautiful!

Thank you,     Commercial Silk.com , for the opportunity to experience and honestly review your beautiful products first hand!

I'm off to my sewing room!

Strawberries and Cathedral Windows

Strawberry Cathedral Windows Pincushions

I had some time this week to have fun sewing, and I made up a few Cathedral Windows pincushions.  If you ever make them, you'll wish you had cut out several at a time, to make more than one of them!  *** They are addictive!! ***

I use the easy tutorial by Kim at My Go-Go Life blog.  This is the  {tutorial link. }  She has good pictures and descriptions, to make it easy to understand!

This is my first Strawberry Cathedral Windows pincushion:

Design:   Tutorial by Kim at  My Go-Go Life {here }
Fabrics: Strawberry fabris -  Popcorn the Bear by Quilting Treasures (in my stash)
Green picnic plaid - Robert Kaufman  Picnic Basics by Jane Shasky
Button Covers:  Dritz
Size:  a plump 4 " x 4 "   Sometimes they get to be about 4.5" square

I like making projects that have strawberries in them... so I can get out my collection of strawberry props!!

The back side of this little pinnie features the sweet strawberry fabric!

I have 2 of these little pincushions available for purchase.... in my new little
Susies Sunroom Shop  on Etsy.  Here's the link to hop on over and see what I have in my shop.

I just love the look on Mr Whiskers' face!  I think he may be saying.... "Uh- Oh !! "

And look at this delicate Magnolia flower he is hanging next to!

I am planning on making this into  a wallhanging, along with other blocks in  the series of Mr Whiskers blocks that Janeen is designing.  You may remember the first Mr Whiskers block , from issue #13 April 2017 - June 2017 .  I blogged about this cute block here.

I made them with the same background fabric.  Then, I pinned them together , so I can imagine what they will look like together ! I will also add sashing.
